S8 / E1: Liminal
In this week’s episode, we explore the concept of liminality, considering the current seasonal transition, as well as how this impacts our lives more generally.
Why is exploring the liminal relevant right now?
Late August is a time of waiting - before the ‘back to school’ phase of September with its sense of preparation for autumn/winter
We find ourselves with a foot in two seasons - perhaps not ready to let go of summer, perhaps eager for autumn
Autumn is very much a season of all things liminal - change, shedding/releasing (falling leaves)
What do we chat about?
Being suspended between something and nothing
The three ways of considering liminality (physical, social and cultural)
Getting more comfortable with not knowing - or even not moving/progressing
The liminality of autumn and the wisdom it has to offer
